Why Ceramic Brazing?
The EVM series uses a specialized ceramic chamber that is brazed (molecularly bonded) to the metal terminals. This creates a far superior seal compared to epoxy, allowing the chamber to be pressurized with Hydrogen gas.
- Hydrogen Arc Extinguishing: Hydrogen gas has high thermal conductivity, cooling the arc rapidly when contacts open.
- Explosion Proof: The ceramic structure withstands high pressure during short-circuit events (up to 2000A).
- Zero Oxidation: Contacts operate in an inert environment, maintaining low contact resistance (< 0.2mΩ) for the life of the relay.
