Medical Devices
Critical Reliability for Defibrillators and Patient Isolation.
Defibrillators
Relays must withstand massive pulses (up to 5kV) to protect sensitive monitoring electronics during the discharge. High isolation voltage (up to 20kV) is required to ensure no leakage occurs during standby.
Patient Isolation & Probes
Applications require extremely low leakage current (femto-amp level) to ensure no dangerous currents reach the heart via probes or pacemakers.
Recommended: HRX High Insulation Series.
Electrosurgical Knives & RF Ablation
Requires high reliability switching for surgical equipment operating at high frequencies. Reed relays provide superior isolation compared to solid state alternatives.
