Application of Dry Reed Relays in Photovoltaic Inverters

The design of transformerless inverters has significant advantages in improving overall efficiency and reducing costs. However, due to the lack of safety isolation provided by transformers, there are safety hazards that need to be addressed by adding new safety mechanisms, such as isolation resistance testing. Ground insulation testing should be carried out before the inverter is grounded and started to ensure higher safety.

MiRelay’s fully sealed high-voltage and high-insulation resistance dry reed relay ensures the safety performance of the inverter’s grounding due to its insulation withstand voltage of up to 4000VDC between contacts and between contacts and coils, and insulation resistance value of 10TΩ.

The MiRelay high-voltage and high-insulation dry reed relay has a disconnect resistance of 100GΩ, ensuring complete isolation of the MOSFET sensing array from the ground before the inverter is enabled.
