Low-voltage switching and low-current thermal

Low-voltage switching and low-current thermal reed relays

Signals from devices such as thermocouples and pressure sensors can generate microvolt or millivolt-level voltages. These low-level signals may be lost when passing through most switch devices before amplification. SHR AUTOSENSOR’s low thermal reed relay products are well suited to switching these weak signals because we design them with extra care to avoid adding unnecessary voltage deviations beyond +/-1 microvolt. In addition, the electrostatic shielding in the relay can improve signal-to-noise ratio, and high insulation may require high dielectric strength. Our BT series provides a minimum dielectric strength of up to 2000V for your selection.

Systems that switch picoampere (pA) or femtoampere (fA) level currents also require special high insulation, which can only be met by reed relays. Insulation levels may require 10¹⁴Ω or 10¹⁵Ω. Our HVFR series has several switching options that can meet these switching requirements.

Technical specifications (see HVFR and BT series):

● Switching voltage: 1.0 kVDC

● Insulation resistance ▪ Contact/contact: typical value up to 10¹²Ω (up to 10¹⁴Ω under special conditions)

▪ Contact/coil: typical value up to 10¹³Ω (up to 10¹⁵Ω under special conditions)

● Withstand voltage ▪ Contact/contact: 1.5 kVDC ▪ Contact/coil: 4.5 kVDC

● Low thermal offset voltage: <10mV; <1.0mV (BT series)
